What is Shockwave Therapy?

Radial Shock Wave therapy involves conversion of mechanical waves in to shock waves that it applied repeatedly to an area of injury. It is believed these waves cause micro-trauma which increase blood flow to the area and consequently promotes healing.

4 to 6 treatments are usually required. Sessions are weekly but can be twice weekly with certain conditions. Improvement can be noticed as early as three weeks after the second session and maximal at 6 to 8 weeks after the last session.

The treatment will include education on soft tissue load management and home-exercises by registered physiotherapist. As an introductory offer, this once expensive intervention is now available FREE of charge with any standard consultation.
